A résumé is one of the most important investments you can make in yourself. After all, the jobs you land with this document provide you with the income, insurance benefits, and stability you need to thrive.

And yet, most job seekers today rely on outdated plug-and-play templates that barely scratch the surface of their value. Or worse — they let AI write their résumés for them.

But here’s the honest truth …

Whether you’re the CEO of a Fortune 500 company, a recent grad looking to get that first step in the door of your industry, or somewhere in between, the story your résumé needs to tell is different from everyone else in the world.

That’s right — no one is going to have the unique mix of education, experience, and achievement you bring to the table!

So if you’re ready to launch a new job search, or aren’t landing interviews for jobs you know you’re perfect for, I’m here to help.

Working with a seasoned résumé writer will eliminate the headaches involved with writing your own résumé — and ensure you stand head and shoulders above your peers by showcasing the distinct value you offer a future employer.

So what are the benefits of working with me?

You’re one of a kind. I’ll make sure your résumé reflects that.

Leveraging 14 years of experience as a Certified Professional Résumé Writer and my deep knowledge of how today’s recruiters evaluate résumés, I’ll craft a high-impact narrative that presents your unique value proposition (UVP) and tells your personal story of success.

I’ll get the style and formatting right, too.

Great copy is critical, but if a résumé isn’t easy to scan and digest visually, people won’t read it. That’s why every résumé I produce includes:

  • skimmable headings …

  • a clear hierarchy of information …

  • an elegant and readable font …

  • and strategic bolding that commands attention for your biggest achievements

You'll receive a résumé written for humans and software.

The unfortunate reality is that today’s résumés need to be written for both human eyes and applicant tracking system (ATS) software. So when it comes to crafting a top-notch résumé, it’s not just about choosing the right words — you have to also include the right keywords.

That means developing strong, impactful language that conveys your narrative of success — and including specific language from the job posting you’re targeting. Recruiters are looking for alignment between their job description and your résumé, so the better you can communicate how your experience and achievements match the job’s primary responsibilities, the more you’ll stand out.

Where have your clients landed jobs?

What’s your process?

Contributing to your professional success is important to me. That’s why I work with only a small number of clients each month — to ensure I have the time, energy, and focus to produce an A+ résumé every time.

To help you land your next interview, here’s how we’ll partner together.

Step 1: We discuss your experience and career goals.

In a 30-minute discovery call, we’ll discuss where you are in your career and the goals of your job search. I’ll also give you a high-level audit of your current résumé and talk you through the changes you can expect to see in your new document.

Step 2: You reflect on your career and what you’ve achieved.

Before I can start writing, you’ll spend time reflecting on the roles we’ll market on the résumé and compiling a list of the most marketable aspects of each job — and your biggest wins.

Step 3: We explore your career history in depth.

In a 60-minute follow-up call, we’ll go over all of the “homework” you did in step two and dive deep into the key narratives of your career. We’ll also discuss 2–3 job postings you’re eager to apply to.

Step 4: I start writing.

Using all of the information from your homework and the takeaways from our calls, I’ll craft a top-notch résumé that:

  • markets your career history of success

  • positions your unique value to a future employer

  • and aligns with current best practices in résumé writing and design

Your new résumé will be ready to review five business days after our deep-dive discussion.

Step 5: You review, I tweak, we finalize.

Most clients are ready to put the new document to use right away, but if anything gets lost in translation or something doesn’t communicate the impact it should, we’ll work together to get those points just right. One round of edits is included in this service.

Step 6: Get to work on any additional services you need.

Once your résumé is finalized and ready to put to use, I’ll get started on any add-on services you’ve purchased as part of a larger package. These include:

Cover letter writing

Every strong résumé needs an equally strong cover letter. I’ll take the work I’ve done to craft your career narrative and create a cover letter that sets the stage for your achievements. You’ll be able to repurpose the cover letter for multiple applications, and I’ll point out exactly where you need to make updates each time you use it.

Cover letter editing

Want to write the cover letter yourself and have a pair of expert eyes make sure it’s ready to deliver? I’ll review your draft to ensure it champions your achievements, speaks in a consistent voice, and matches the résumé’s formatting and presentation.

LinkedIn profile updates

One of the first things a recruiter or hiring manager will do after reading your résumé is check out your LinkedIn profile. So it’s important that your LinkedIn presence — think of it as your digital résumé — conveys your story and history of achievements in the same impactful manner.

1:1 strategy session

Unclear on how to tailor your résumé for a specific application? Not sure what points to hit in your cover letter?

To answer these common questions — and a whole lot more — we’ll spend an hour together on a video call, where I’ll step you through updating the résumé and cover letter for each application. (No, you don’t have to rewrite the whole thing!)

I’ll also show you some handy online tools to help you figure out what to speak to in the cover letter, and how to do keyword research to ensure your documents match the job description as closely as possible.
